Abstract:

The relevance of research into personal factors of socio-psychological adaptation of military personnel is due to increased requirements for ensuring the defense capability and security of the country. The purpose of this study was to empirically substantiate the relationship between aggressiveness as a personal characteristic of military personnel undergoing military service and their socio-psychological adaptation. In a study using Diamond-Rogers socio-psychological adaptation questionnaires adapted by A.K. Osnitsky and the personal aggressiveness of Bass-Darka in the adaptation of S.N. Enikolopov and N.P. Tsibulsky interviewed 50 conscripts aged 18 to 24 years. The results of the correlation analysis showed that there is a connection between indicators of adaptation and aggressiveness as a personal characteristic among conscripts. At the same time, socio-psychological adaptation was most associated with indicators of physical and verbal aggressiveness. The indicator of maladaptation turned out to be consistently associated with the index of hostility, suspicion and guilt. The results obtained were interpreted in the context of data obtained by other researchers that aggressiveness in certain conditions performs a positive function and manifests itself in perseverance and fearlessness in the face of difficulties.
