What is an existential crisis?

Abstract:

The article discusses the essence of the existential crisis in modern psychology. It is argued that the existential crisis is one of the key states of the human psyche, when the entire life strategy of a person is comprehended and reevaluated. Despite the fact that the concept of existential crisis has a pronounced negative connotation, the author emphasizes that the existential crisis can be associated with quite positive aspects. The existential crisis is an opportunity for a person to take a constructive path.
