Abstract:

The article presents the results of a sociological study conducted in May 2020 on the territory of Ugra. The sociological data were obtained by means of a questionnaire survey and interviews. The respondents were representatives of the KMNS (Khanty, Mansi, Nenets) of Ugra. The purpose of the sociological study was to identify the signs of ethnic identity of the represented ethnic groups. The analysis of the sociological data allowed us to conclude that the peculiarities of the ethnic identity of the Ob Ugrians and the interviewed Nenets are determined by the ties of generations, self-identification in the environment of relatives by language, territorial kinship. In addition, in the statements of the respondents of the CMNS, born in interethnic marriages, there is a dilemma in the choice of nationality in formal procedures, as well as in the issue of ethnic self-identification outside the formal framework. It turned out that the general indicator is a positive ethnic attitude, without egocentrism, the respondents give positive self-assessments.
