Social value of Russian criminal proceedings: objectified criterion of assessment

Abstract:

The article covers the viewpoints of citizens, judges, public prosecutors, investigators, lawyers on criminal proceedings. The results of the sociological research reveal a mutual distrust between citizens, on the one hand, and prosecuting officers and court, on the other hand. The author proves the necessity to take into account public opinion when identifying the mainstay of criminal proceedings optimization.
