Gender Considerations in Foreign Language Training

Abstract:

The article examines the models of teaching a foreign language in light of the gender characteristics. It considers the notions «gender» and «sex», provides psychologists’ points of view on this subject, and discusses the terms «masculinity» and «femininity». The results of students’ questionnaire on the topic of their belonging to the masculine or feminine type are given. The article describes several techniques used by wellknown psychologists for implementation of the gender approach to foreign language training.
