Abstract:

The article considers the features of perception of the October Revolution of 1917 in the historical memory of Irkutsk middle generation. The conclusion is made about the relative preservation of the extent of the knowledge component of historical memory about the October Revolution of 1917 and the narrowing of the value component. It is emphasized that in the perception of Irkutsk middle aged citizens the events and image of the October Revolution of 1917 loses its relevance, acquires the features of patchiness and assessments controversy.
